Principal in Charge

As principal of Hoffman Architects, Ed oversees all aspects of the practice. Ed’s signature design is the cornerstone for all the firm’s projects. Since founding the corporation in 1981, Ed has provided design proficiency to a wide variety of educational, municipal, religious, commercial, and residential projects. His firm is well known for its excellence in architecture and the ability of staff to listen and respond to clients’ needs. Accordingly, the firm has received a multitude of awards and repeat business over the years.

Ed’s designs are not only functional, but also exceptionally beautiful and efficient. The prototype elementary schools have been awarded the S.I.T. Grant from the state of Florida for schools that are S.M.A.R.T. (soundly made, accountable, reasonable, and thrifty). The Gus A. Stavros Institute at Enterprise Village was awarded the 1999 Florida Educational Facilities Planning Association Award for Design Excellence. In 2002, the American Institute of Architects awarded the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Fine Art/M.M. Bennett Library/Ellis Foundation Art Education Center the H. Dean Rowe Award of Excellence.
